Alicia and Matt- Engaged!

Alicia and Matt came to me early this year to help in planning their fall 2013 wedding.
They were engaged at Disneyland, and when she saw that I am a huge Disney fan, she knew she had to meet with me.
After laying the foundation for their wedding day, we began to fill in the details.   Vendors are hired, services are determined, and just a few more details are being fine tuned before we celebrate this beautiful couple.

Please enjoy these lovely photos from Anza Foto taken at Oceanside pier and beach.

Carlsbad Wedding Planner

Astrid and Eric found me through my Yelp reviews online and contacted me for some planning help.
They had a date and a venue, photographer and gown but not much else.
They wanted to stick to a specific budget and didn't think they could have their dream wedding with the funds they had set aside.
We had a great first meeting, and I asked them to make a list of their must have items, and then add on their dream items.
I assured them their budget would not be an issue.  They left with my complimentary planning packet and a contract which they promptly returned to book.
We set about getting quotes from available vendors and set about planning their dream day.
After a few days of checking availability and getting quotes, we came in UNDER BUDGET!
Of course it is never my intention to put anyone over their budget, we maximize it as best we can. But under budget is a great thing, as you can add on services with vendors,  or purchase items you had originally omitted thinking you could not afford them. I also keep a list of trusted vendors at all price points, so I can assist any couple with their day.

It helped that Astrid and Eric selected a Friday afternoon wedding. We were able to get great vendors and some even offered a discounted rate for the off season day.

The venue they selected was Magee Park in Carlsbad, slightly rustic, full of charm and perfect for a small wedding.  Their photographer was Malia Dadez, and she shot their engagement session prior to the wedding to get to know them as a couple, as well as get some images for their guest signature album.
here are some of those images-

So when the wedding day came, the ladies got ready at Jayden Presleigh Salon, complete with hair and makeup, and the men got ready at the hotel a block away.
We scheduled a first look so they would only be away from their guests for some sunset shots and could enjoy the whole celebration.

Everything was set up and ready to go in case of early arrival of guests and the stunning ladies arrived for the reveal and did many group photos so that would be complete.

Eric presented Astrid with her bouquet, we quickly hid the bridal party and guests began arriving.

San Diego Museum of Art Wedding

Jill and Sam were married in the Sculpture Garden at the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park.

Unfortunately there was only one sculpture on display, however the California Tower as a backdrop still makes for a beautiful and private space!

Jill told Sam that one day she would be married in that Sculpture Garden, and early in July, that wish came true!
